1 (3 oz.) pkg. chocolate pudding (not instant)
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. salted peanuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine first 4 ingredients, cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Lower heat and cook slowly for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and quickly stir in peanuts and vanilla. Beat until candy thickens and begins to lose its gloss. Drop with teaspoon on waxed paper forming into clusters. Makes around 2 dozen.
