2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. salt
2 tsp. powdered alum
Tempura for color or food color

Mix flour, salt and alum together. Add water to make into a workable clay. Color if you like. If too moist and sticks to fingers, add flour. If too dry and crumbles, work in more water.
