PEANUT BUTTER KISSES | |
1 1/4 cup peanut butter (creamy or chunky) 1 cup sugar 1 large egg 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 tablespoon melted butter 1 tablespoon milk 1 teaspoon vanilla Hershey Kisses Preheat oven to 335°F degrees and grease baking sheets. In a bowl with an electric mixer, beat together peanut butter and sugar until combined well. In a small bowl lightly beat egg, milk, baking soda and vanilla, then beat in melted butter. Beat egg mixture into the peanut butter mixture until combined well. Chill dough for 30 minutes in freezer or 1 hour in the fridge. Roll level teaspoons of dough into balls and arrange about 1-inch apart on baking sheets. Bake cookies in batches in middle of oven until puffed and pale golden, about 8 minutes. Immediately place Kisses in the center of the cookie. Cool cookies on baking sheets for 2 minutes before transferring. Cookies may be kept in an airtight container at room temperature up to 5 days.
