HAMBURGER AND MACARONI CASSEROLE 
1 c. macaroni, uncooked
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/2 c. celery, chopped
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
8 oz. tomato sauce
15 to 16 oz. can of tomatoes
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Garlic to taste
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. A1 sauce
1 tsp. beef bouillon crystals
4 oz. shredded cheese (any kind)
4 oz. mushrooms, optional

Cook macaroni in salt water, drain and rinse. Brown hamburger mixture in pot along with tomato sauce and tomatoes and simmer 15 minutes. Add brown sugar, A1 sauce, and beef crystals. Simmer 15 minutes more. Stir in macaroni. Place mixture in baking dish, sprinkle cheese on top and place in oven until cheese melts.

May also be made with 1 cup uncooked rice or 2 oz. of spaghetti instead of macaroni.
