SOY SAUCE CHICKEN | |
1 chicken 2 tbsp. sugar 1/2 inch piece green ginger 3/4 c. soy sauce 1 1/2 c. water 1 clove garlic 1. Prepare and clean the chicken. 2. Place the soy sauce, crushed garlic, sugar, ginger and water into a large saucepan, and bring to the boil. 3. Add the whole chicken and simmer for 30-40 minutes or until cooked. Turn occasionally. 4. Remove the chicken and cut into pieces. Serve with rice or salad. NOTE: Instead of whole chicken, chicken wings, thigh or drumstick can be used. |
