HARVARD BEETS 
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. minced onion, if desired
3 c. hot, cooked or canned beets

Blend sugar, salt, cornstarch. Stir in vinegar, cook stirring constantly until thick and smooth. Add butter, beets. Heat 20 minutes.
