HARVARD BEETS 
12 sm. beets, cooked and cut in cubes
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. water
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. vinegar

Mix sugar and cornstarch. Add vinegar, butter and water. Boil 5 minutes. Add beets and let stand over low flame 30 minutes.
