3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. cocoa
2 c. cold water
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. oil
2 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift flour, sugar, soda, cocoa, and salt into an 8 1/2 x 11 cake pan. Make three holes with a fork. Put the oil in one, the vinegar in the next, and vanilla in the third. Pour cold water over all, stir with the fork. Bake until a toothpick comes out clean (20-25 minutes).
