3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. milk
2 tsp. flavoring
2 eggs
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves

Add to make a spice cake.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Stir the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and spices together. Add shortening, milk and flavoring. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed or 300 strokes. Add eggs; beat 2 minutes longer.

Pour into a greased and floured pan (9x12). Bake 30-35 minutes or until toothpick stuck in center comes out clean.
