2 c. chopped green pepper 2 c. chopped onions 1 1/2 lb. ground beef 1/2 lb. butter 1 can sliced mushrooms 1 jar ragu spaghetti sauce 1 can tomato sauce 2 c. grated mild cheddar cheese 1 lb. med. egg noodles 1 c. chopped celery 1/2 c. chopped olives 1 lb. ground pork 2 tsp. salt In large skillet, saute green pepper, celery and onions in butter. Brown ground pork and beef; drain. Add pepper, celery and onions to meat. Add salt. Stir in olives, mushrooms and sauces. Cook 5 minutes. Cook noodles following package directions. Drain. Add to sauce. Pour into Pyrex dish. Sprinkle grated cheese on top. Bake for 35 minutes. Serves 12 to 14. The meat sauce can be frozen. Leave out noodles and cheese until ready to cook. |
