PUNCH BOWL CAKE 
1 box yellow cake mix (cook in 2 layers)
1 lg. can crushed pineapple
1 can cherry pie filling
1 lg. box instant vanilla pudding
1 lg. bowl Cool Whip (9 oz.)
1 c. coconut or pecans (or both)

1. Make the cake mix according to package directions. Cook layers.

2. Take 1 layer and crumble in a punch bowl or large Tupperware bowl.

3. Add 1/2 can of pineapple and juice and all). Spread evenly over the cake and press it down with spoon.

4. Add 1/2 can cherry pie filling, spooning it over the pineapple.

5. Add 1/2 pudding that has been mixed according to package directions, over the cherry pie filling.

6. Add 1/2 Cool Whip, sprinkle with coconut or pecans or both.

7. Then start over with your other layer and add the other ingredients in the same order. Use 2 cans pineapple and cherry pie filling if you wish. Serves a crowd.
