REFRIGERATOR PICKLES 
4 c. sugar
4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. salt
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
3 onions, sliced
Sliced cucumbers

Mix sugar, vinegar and spices; do not heat! Use cold! Wash and sterilize 3 large peanut butter jars. Alternate cucumbers and onions in jars. Stir syrup well and pour over pickles in jars. Refrigerate at least 5 days before using.
