1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Chocolate candy kisses

Combine all dry ingredients, cream in egg, shortening, peanut butter, milk and vanilla. Blend well. Shape dough into balls. Roll in sugar and place on greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375°F for 12 to 14 minutes. Top each cookie with chocolate kiss.
