3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs
Bananas
3 tbsp. flour, self rising
2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Vanilla wafers

Mix sugar, flour, salt and milk. Add beaten egg yolks. Cook until thick. Add vanilla flavoring. Arrange wafers and bananas in bowl. Pour mixture over them. Use egg whites for meringue, if desired.

MERINGUE:

2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar

Beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Add vanilla and sugar. Then add cream of tartar. Top pudding and brown in oven.
