MASHED POTATO CASSEROLE 
6 lg. potatoes, cooked and mashed with a tiny bit of milk and butter
1 c. sour cream
1 1/2 c. sm. curd cottage cheese
2 tbsp. diced onion

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Place in casserole dish and cover with 1 package of sliced (NOT slivered) almonds. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

This dish can be made the day before, then brought to room temperature and baked. It is moist and does not need gravy or sauce. This recipe is great for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
