MOSTACIOLLI 
1 lb. mostaciolli noodles
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
1 med. onion, chopped
8 to 12 slices American cheese
Italian seasonings (to taste)
Garlic powder, to taste
2 (6 oz.) cans water
1 lg. can whole tomatoes, chopped

Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside. While the noodles are cooking, brown ground beef and onions in large dutch oven.

Add tomato paste, tomatoes, seasonings, garlic powder and water to ground beef/onion mixture. Let simmer a few minutes. In casserole dish (large and deep), alternate layers of noodles, ground beef mixture, and sliced American cheese.

Bake in 350 degree oven approximately 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and casserole is bubbly. Optional: Mushrooms and Parmesan cheese added to the layers.

NOTE: This is a quick and easy meal for serving dinner guests or a large family. It takes about one hour from start to serving time.
