CHOCOLATE CRACKLES 
4 sq. (4 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
4 eggs
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. oil
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Melt chocolate in top of large double boiler over hot water. Remove from over water and blend in oil and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time; beat well after each. Add vanilla, flour, salt and baking powder. Stir into chocolate mixture. Add nuts and mix thoroughly. Chill dough several hours or overnight.

Drop teaspoons of dough into powdered sugar. Roll around and shape into small balls. Bake on greased cookie sheet 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes 6 dozen.
