HERBED MUSHROOM PILAF 
2 tbsp. onion, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 c. uncooked long grain rice
2 c. water
1 pkg. instant chicken bouillon
1/4 tsp. ground thyme
1 bay leaf
Few drops red pepper sauce

Sauce onion and garlic in butter for 3 minutes.

Add mushrooms and saute until tender; remove from heat.

Mix remaining ingredients in 1 1/2 quart casserole.

Add mushrooms.

Bake at 350 degrees for an hour.

To serve remove bay leaf and stir in an extra 1 1/2 tablespoon butter. Serves about 6.
