CHOW CHOW 
4 c. carrots, chopped
4 c. cucumbers, chopped (seeds removed)
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. chili peppers, chopped
2 tbsp. salt
8 c. papaw, chopped
5 c. vinegar
1 c. onions, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 c. mustard

Bring vinegar to a boil. Add sugar and salt. Add papaw and carrots; cook until tender. Add garlic, onion, pepper, cucumber and mustard. Cook until thick. Amend seasonings as desired. Remove and bottle. Note: Cornstarch may be added to thicken. A mixture of vinegar and water may be used.
