1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. cooking oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
4 1/2 c. flour

Cream butter and sugars well. Blend in oil, eggs and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and mix into other ingredients thoroughly. Roll into small balls. Dip into granulated sugar. Place on cookie sheet. Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
