OATMEAL COOKIES 
1/2 c. soft shortening
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
6 tbsp. molasses
1 3/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. rolled oats
1/2 c. nuts
1 1/2 c. raisins

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix first 4 ingredients together in medium bowl. Sift together flour, soda, salt and cinnamon and stir into mixture. Finally stir in oats, nuts and raisins.

Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Store in tightly sealed container.
