RANCH STYLE BEANS 
2 lbs. pinto beans
2 sq. chunks salt pork
1 jalapeno pepper
3 garlic cloves, crushed
2 tbsp. chili powder
1 sm. green bell pepper, diced
1/4 onion, diced
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 sm. can tomato sauce

Wash 2 pounds of pinto beans and put in pot. Fill the pot with water, making sure that the pot is a large one. Always keep water level covering the beans. When adding water, make sure to use boiling water when adding to beans. Add all of the ingredients while simmering. Cook for 4 hours very slow. Then add tomatoes and tomato sauce and cook for about another hour, or until desired thickness is desired.
