RENOLD BLEEM'S KINDERGARTEN INDIAN PUDDING | |
1/4 c. cornmeal 4 2/3 c. milk 1/2 stick butter 1 c. molasses 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 2 eggs Measure 1 cup milk. Mix milk with cornmeal. Set aside. Put 3 cups milk in top of double boiler. Be sure the water in the bottom of the double boiler is HOT. Stir in cornmeal mixture and milk together. Cook 25 minutes. Stir until smooth. Add molasses, butter and cinnamon. Beat eggs and add them to the pot. Pour all into deep buttered baking dish. Pour remaining 2/3 cup milk on top. Bake about 1 hour at 350 degrees. Sharon Eggemeyer was his teacher. |
