PECAN TASSIES 
CHEESE PASTRY:

1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 stick (1/2 c.) butter
1 c. flour, sifted

Let cream cheese and butter soften at room temperature; blend with sifted flour. Place in ungreased miniature muffin tins and use your thumb to press into bottom and sides of pan.

PECAN FILLING:

3/4 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt
1 tbsp. soft butter
1 lg. egg
3/4 c. broken pecans

Blend together egg, brown sugar, butter and salt; add vanilla and beat until smooth. Add pecans to egg mixture. Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 25 minutes.
