1 c. lard
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
2 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 1/2 c. coffee
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
5 c. flour not sifted

Chill, roll about 1/4 inch thin for boys. Can make 6 dozen large round or cut with Spam can for "Aunt Sally's".

Bake at 350 degrees for 7 minutes. Decorate with frosting.
