1 c. shortening or butter
8 oz. cream cheese
1 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour

Cream shortening until fluffy. Gradually add sugar and cream cheese making sure mixture is smooth. Beat in egg yolk, vanilla, and flour. Use a cookie press or chill until firm, roll and cut with decorative cutters. Decorate for the holiday.

Bake at 375°F for 15 minutes.

Yield 3-4 dozen.
