KAY'S PENNSYLVANIA DUTCH MOLASSES CAKE | |
4 c. flour 2 c. sugar 1 c. butter In a large bowl, combine all ingredients; mix until it resembles "crumb". Remove 1 cup; reserve for topping. To the remainder in the bowl, add: 1/2 c. molasses 1 tsp. baking soda Pinch salt 2 c. boiling water Mix well. Any size pan can be used depending on thickness of cake desired. Sprinkle with reserved crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. |
