Make pastry for the amount of 2 crusts. Roll very thin, cut in strips and brown to golden. Butter the strips then cook a few more minutes to crisp.

STEP 2:

Make a white milk sauce with 1 1/2 cups sugar, 8 tablespoons flour, 3 cups milk, 1 tablespoon vanilla, 2 tablespoons butter. Cook sauce until thickened. Cool.
