CHICKEN CACCIATORE 
2 lbs. chicken
2 tbsp. shortening
1 can tomato soup
1/4 can water
1 tbsp. vinegar
1/4 tsp. garlic
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 green pepper, cut in strips
1/2 c. chopped onion

Brown chicken in shortening, approximately 15 minutes in large skillet. Drain fat off. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over chicken in skillet. Simmer for approximately 45 minutes.
