CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS | |
1 (4 to 6 lb.) hen 1 tbsp. salt 1 tsp. black pepper 1 tbsp. garlic salt 6 c. all-purpose flour Water or milk Cook (boil) hen until tender. Remove bones. Sift flour. Add arm water to flour and mix dough as you would for biscuits. Roll out 1 cupful on floured board. Roll out very thin. Cut into strips. Place a strip at a time into the boiling chicken, layering the dough. Cook until done, about 15 minutes. |
