GRANDMA KAT'S 9 DAY SLAW 
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 lbs. cabbage, grated
2 med. onions, grated
1 sweet pepper, grated
1 c. salad oil
1 c. brown vinegar
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. dry mustard
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper

Combine cabbage, onions, and sweet pepper in bowl. Sprinkle with 1 1/2 cups sugar; set aside. Heat salad oil, vinegar, celery seed, dry mustard, 2 tablespoons sugar, salt, and pepper to boiling and pour over cabbage mixture. Good for 9 days in refrigerator.
