THREE DAY SLAW | |
1 cabbage, shredded 2 onions, sliced 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. vinegar 3/4 c. corn oil 1 tbsp. mustard 1 tbsp. celery seed 1 tbsp. salt Shred cabbage; peel and slice onions. Break onion slices into rings. Mix all other ingredients; bring to boil, then remove from heat and cool somewhat. In a covered container, layer onions and cabbage alternating, then pour dressing (mixture) over it. Store in refrigerator for 3 days. Stir periodically. (Can be eaten after one day and night - but best if left the three days.) This is good - men love it! |
