OVEN BAKED CARAMEL CORN 
2 c. dark brown sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 c. butter
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
6 to 7 qts. popped popcorn

In a large saucepan combine the brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, salt and cream of tartar. Bring to a boil and cook 5 minutes. Remove from heat, add baking soda and beat mixture down with a wooden spoon. Pour over popped corn, stirring gently until all corn is covered. Spread coated corn on 2 greased cookie sheets and bake 1 hour at 200 degrees. Cool, break apart and enjoy!
