1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter, soft
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cocoa
12 oz. chocolate chips
3/4 c. walnuts
1 c. oatmeal
1 3/4 c. boiling water

Mix oatmeal with boiling water and let stand 10 minutes. Add eggs, sugar, butter, and then mix in all dry ingredients along with 6 ounces chocolate chips. Put in a well greased and floured 9 x 13 pan.

Add by spoonful 6 ounces chocolate chips to the top of mixture and spread nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Cool before cutting.
