REFRIGERATOR PICKLES 
3 c. sugar
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. mustard seed
3 c. vinegar
1 tsp. turmeric
Scant 1/3 c. salt
8 or more onions, sliced thin
10 cucumbers, sliced thin

Stir together all ingredients except onions and cucumbers. Heat mixture to blend and dissolve, let cool. When vinegar mixture is cooled, pour over cucumbers and onions in a gallon jar. Place jar in refrigerator. Stir well every day for at least 7 days before using. Store in refrigerator or seal in jars.

A good quick way to have homemade pickles always on hand.
