BANANA SPLIT DESSERT 
1 pkg. (12 oz.) vanilla wafers, crushed
1 stick butter, melted

Mix and press into 9 x 12 inch cake pan. Chill.

FILLING:

1 stick butter, soft
1 lb. powdered sugar
2 eggs

Beat for 2 minutes and spread on wafer crust. Then layer: pineapple, drained 6 lg. bananas, sliced 1/2 sm. jar (6 oz.) maraschino cherries, halved

FROSTING:

1 lg. (12 oz.) instant whipped topping

Decorate with sprinkled nuts and remaining cherry halves. Yield: 12 servings.
