SCALLOPED OYSTERS | |
1 pt. oysters 4 tbsp. oyster liquid 4 tbsp. cream 1 c. cracker crumbs 1/2 stale bread crumbs 1/2 c. butter, melted Salt & pepper to taste Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Mix bread and cracker crumbs. Stir in butter. Grease a shallow baking dish. Put a thin layer of mixture in the bottom of the dish. Cover with 1/2 of oysters. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add 1/2 of oyster liquid and 1/2 of cream. Repeat all steps of layering. Cover with remaining crumbs. Bake 30 minutes. |
