6 c. sugar 1 pt. white Karo syrup 1/2 lb. butter 1 c. rick milk or cream 1 sm. bottle maraschino cherries 1/2 c. cherry juice 1 lb. walnut meats Cook syrup, sugar, cream, juice and butter until it makes a firm ball in cold water. Remove from stove, add nuts and cherries. Beat until creamy. When cool, roll in wax paper. Cut in thin slices. |
