MOM'S TAFFY TARTS 
1/2 lb. walnuts (chopped fine)
2 bars soft butter
2 (3 oz.) cream cheese
2 c. flour

Work butter, cream cheese and flour together with hands until soft. Pinch a piece off the size of a walnut. Press into small tart pans.

Mix together: 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar 2 tbsp. melted butter Dash of salt Few drops of vanilla

Sprinkle nuts on dough bottom. Add 2/3 filling, then sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 17 minutes. Makes 48.
