PEANUT BUTTER LOGS | |
1/2 loaf sandwich bread 1/2 c. smooth peanut butter 1/2 c. butter flavored Wesson oil Cut crust from 1/2 of a loaf of sandwich bread and cut slices into narrow strips. Put the crust on a cookie sheet and bake about 1 to 1 1/2 hours at 225 degrees until brown and crisp. Crush into fine crumbs in a blender. Bake the strips just until dried out and crispy; do not brown. Combine oil and peanut butter; heat oven burner until melted and dissolved. Remove from heat and dip strips into mixture and roll in crumbs. Place on waxed paper to dry. |
