2/3 to 1 stick butter
6 to 8 oz. cream cheese
3/4 to 1 box confectioners' sugar
2 to 4 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans (optional)

Cream butter and cheese. Add sugar, vanilla and nuts. Beat until smooth. Frost cake.
