PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE 
1 Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
1 lg. can pineapple, crushed, drain & save juice
1 c. dark brown sugar
1/2 - 1 c. pecans or walnuts
1 stick butter
Maraschino cherries (opt.)

In a 9"x12" pan, pour 1 stick of melted butter, then pineapple and cherries, sprinkle nuts and brown sugar evenly. Make cake mix according to directions using the pineapple juice and some water to equal the amount of water called for on the cake box mix. Pour batter over the mixture in pan and bake approximately 25 to 30 minutes in 350 degree oven until cake springs back when lightly touched. Invert on dish and let sit for a few minutes before taking pan off.
