SOFT PRETZEL 
1 pkg. yeast
1 1/2 c. lukewarm water
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
4 c. flour
1 egg
Coarse salt

Soften yeast in water in a large bowl. Add salt and sugar; mix in flour and knead to make soft and smooth. No need to let rise. Cut into small pieces and roll into pencil thin ropes.

Twist dough into shapes and place on cookie sheet that has been covered with foil and dusted with flour. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
