SCALLOPED POTATOES 
2 lb. peeled potatoes
1 c. milk
1 sm. clove garlic, mashed
1/8 tsp. pepper
3 tbsp. butter

Slice potatoes 1/8 inch thick and drop into a bowl of cold water. Bring milk to a boil with salt, pepper and garlic. Drain potatoes well and arrange in buttered 6 cup baking dish. Pour milk mixture over them, dot with butter and bake 30 minutes at 425 degrees.
