HOMEMADE ICE CREAM 
1 can evaporated milk
1 qt. half & half
5 eggs
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla

FOR 4 QUARTS:

1 can evaporated milk
1 qt. half & half
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla

Fruit if desired, i.e. 2 to 4 (16 oz.) pkgs. of frozen strawberries, thawed or any fruit you like

Beat together eggs, sugar, and vanilla in ice cream canister. Add evaporated milk and half & half. Mix thoroughly. Stir in fruit, if desired, and add whole milk to the fill line (evaporated milk or half & half may be added to the fill line instead of whole milk). Freeze in manual or electric ice cream freezer.
