HAWAIIAN BANANA NUT BREAD 
2 c. sifted flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
4 ripe bananas (mashed)
1 c. macadamia nut pieces

Cream shortening and sugar in large mixing bowl. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Add mashed bananas. Add dry ingredients and nuts. Blend thoroughly. Bake in a greased and floured loaf pan at 350 degrees for 60 to 80 minutes or until done.
