ORANGE JELLO SALAD 
1 c. sugar
1 lg. can crushed pineapple
2 pkg. orange Jello
2 c. cold water
1 c. grated cheddar cheese
1 c. finely chopped pecans
1 lg. container Cool Whip

Heat pineapple and sugar until bubbly. Then add Jello; dissolve in pineapple mixture while hot. Add 2 cups cold water. Refrigerate until thickened. Add cheese, pecans and fold in Cool Whip. Return to refrigerator until set.
