MEATBALL CANAPES 
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. monosodium glutamate
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. chopped onion
1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
1/4 c. milk
1 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. molasses
3 tbsp. prepared mustard
3 tbsp. vinegar
1/4 c. tomato ketchup
1/4 tsp. thyme

Break up meat in a mixing bowl and sprinkle with monosodium glutamate, salt and onion. Mash together the bread crumbs and milk. Toss with the meat until well combined.

Form into balls and roll in flour and brown in butter. Combine remaining ingredients, add the meatballs and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Sauce will thicken and meatballs will be glazed. Serve with toothpicks.
