ICE CREAM WITH CRUST | |
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream 1 c. butter 1 c. brown sugar 2 c. Rice Krispies 1 c. flaked coconut 1/2 c. cashews 1/2 c. sliced almonds Melt in saucepan, butter and brown sugar. Then add remaining ingredients. Press 1/2 of mixture into bottom of greased 9 x 13 inch pan, let cool. Spoon in slightly softened ice cream. Put remaining mixture on top. Freeze. Serve with sauce made of 1 can cherry pie filling and 1 (10-ounce) package frozen strawberries (thawed). Top with Cool Whip and Maraschino cherry. |
