WHITE BUNS 
4 c. milk (scalded)
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 tbsp. salt
3 eggs (beaten)
2 pkgs. yeast in warm water

Add sugar, shortening and salt to milk and let cool. Add eggs. Beat with electric miser at medium speed until enough flour has been added and the mixer pulls hard.

Knead on table, adding flour until stiff. Let rise until double. Knead down and let raise again. Make buns round and place on cookie sheet. Let rise a few minutes then press flat. Let rise and bake at 375 degrees.
